 Title    Pt(NH3)2(SCN)2J: Ein Platinkomplex mit gemischter Wertigkeit Pt(NH3)2(SCN)2I: A Mixed Valence Platinum Compound  
 Abstract    Pt(NH3)2(SCN)2 dissolved in liquid SO2 reacts with molecular iodine to yield a green lustrous solid of stoichiometry Pt(NH3)2(SCN)2I. The compound is diamagnetic in the solid state and in solution and has to be taken for a platinum(II, IV) mixed valence compound, therefore. Chemical and physical evidence so far suggest a linear chain solid with either iodide-bridged metal complex chains or metal complex stacks with parallel triiodide chains.

 Title    The Metal Complexes of Heterocyclic /?-Diketones and their Derivatives, Part VIII Synthesis, Structure, Proton NMR and Infrared Spectral Studies of the Complexes-Phenyl-3-methyl-4-trifluoroacetyl-pyrazolone-5 (HPMTFP)  
 Abstract    of Al(in), Fe(ffl), Co(ffl), Rh(m), In(ffl), and Zr(IV) with l New complexes of Al(III), Fe(III), Co(III), Rh(III), In(III) and Zr(IV) with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-trifluoroacetyl-pyrazolone-5, (HPMTFP), have been synthesized and charac-terized by means of elemental analyses, conductivity and magnetic moment measurements, proton NMR and infrared spectroscopy. It is concluded that the ligand, HPMTFP, reacts as a bidentate enol forming neutral metal chelates. The PMR spectra of chelates suffi-ciently soluble in deuterated NMR solvents were recorded and studied. The IR spectra are measured between 4000-200 cm -1 and assignments are proposed for the observed fre-quencies. The M-0 stretching frequency follows the order: AI > Rh > Fe — Co = Zr > In.

 Title    Metallkomplexe der Liganden  
 Abstract    1.4.7-Triazacyclononan-N.N .N -tris-2-ethansulfonat (TES) und 1.4.7-Triazacyclononan-N.N' .N'' -trisethylacetat (TEA). Die Kristallstrukturen von Na[Ni(TES)(H20)] • 5 H20 und Na[Cu(TES)] • 3 H20 Transition Metal Complexes Containing the Ligands 1,4,7-Triazacyclononane-N,N',N"-tris-2-ethanesulfonate (TES) and l,4,7-Triazacyclononane-N,N , ,N"-tris-ethylacetate (TEA). The Crystal Structures of Na[Ni(TES) (H20)] • 5H20 and of Na[Cu(TES)] • 3H20 The syntheses of two new, potentially hexadentate ligands with an N3O3 donor set is reported: l,4,7-triazacyclononane-N,N , ,N"-tris-2-ethanesulfonate (TES) and 1,4,7-tria-zacyclononane-N,N',N"-tris-ethylacetate (TEA). Complexes of the divalent transition metals Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) containing these ligands have been prepared. The kinetics of the reactions of [Co n (TEA)H20] 2 + and [Co II (TCTA)]-(TCTA= 1,4,7-triazacyclononane-N^^N'^tris-acetate) with [Fe m (CN)6] 3 ~, respectively, have been measured. A stable binuclear [Co(TEA)(CN)6Fe]~ species has been characterized in solution whereas the reaction of [Co(TCTA)]-with [Fe(CN)6] 3 -yields [Co in TCTA] and [Fe(CN)6] 4 -via an outer-sphere electron transfer reaction (k = 5,9 x 10 3 1 mol -1 sec -1 ; 25 °C, I = 0,26 M). Na[Ni(TES)H20] • 5H20 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P I (C^-No 2) with cell constants a = 806,7(4), b = 1468,4(8), c = 2317,9(8) pm, a = 72,36(4)°, ß = 83,48 (3)°, y = 81,99(4)°, and Z = 4. The nickel(II) center is in a distorted octahedral environment of a pentadentate TES ligand (N3Ü2)_and a coordinated H20. Na[Cu(TES)] 3H20 crystal-lizes in the triclinic space group P I (C^-No 2) w T ith cell constants a = 747,3(3), b — 1082,6(5), c = 1459,3(9) pm, a = 81,13(5)°, ß = 84,75(4)°, y = 79,39(3)°, and Z = 2. The copper(II) center is in a distorted quadratic pyramidal environment of a pentadentate TES ligand. Each of the complex anions contains one uncomplexed CH2-CH2-SC>3 _ group.

 Title    Preparation and Reactions of Bicyclic Compounds with a Phosphorus-Phosphorus-Bond  
 Abstract    The reaction of N,N'-dimethyl-N,N'-bis(trimethylsilyl)urea with PCI3 leads to the bicyclic compound OP2[MeNCONMe]2 (3) with a direct phosphorus-phosphorus bond and to the bicycle MeNP2[MeNCONMe]2 (4). 3 reacts with tetrachloro-o-benzoquinone (TOB) to yield the spirocycle CeCl^tMeNCONMe^PaO (5) with a A 4 P-A 5 P-bond. The Lewis acids SbCls and SnCLj react with 3 to give the adducts 6 and 7. The reactions of 3 with the metal carbonyls Fe2(CO)9, Cr(CO)5THF and Cr(CO)4C7Hx lead to the metal complexes 8-10.  Abstract    Cd[AsF 6 ] 2 (1) reacts with cyanogen to yield [Cd{(CN) 2 } 2 S0 2 ][AsF 6 ] 2 (2). 2 crystallizes in the space group Pnma with cell constants a = 1475.2(3); b = 821.7(3); c = 1321.2(9) pm. The coordination sphere of cadmium consists of nine atoms (one oxygen, four fluorines and four nitrogens). Cyanogen forms polymeric links.

 Abstract    Various homogeneous metalate(O) complexes are synthesized with [SnCl3] -as a ligand. Complexes of the type [M(SnCl3)6] 6 -are prepared from [M(CO)3(SnCl3)3] 3 -(M = Cr, Mo, W) in nitromethane. [Fe(SnCl3)5] 5_ is formed by UV irradiation of [Fe(CO)4SnCl3]~ in aceto-nitrile. [M(SnCl3)4] 4-(M = Ni, Pd, Pt) anions are synthesized by thermal substitution reactions with Ni(CO)4, Pd(PF3)4, and Pt(PF3)4. All metalate(O) ions are isolated as salts with the [N(C2H5)4] + cation and characterized by IR spectra and 119m Sn-Mössbauer spectra as well as by analysis.
