 Title    Metall-Komplexe mit S 4 N 4 -Liganden: Die Strukturen von zwei Komplexen der Zusammensetzung [TiCl 4 (S 4 N 4 )] 2 Metal Complexes with S 4 N 4 Ligands: The Structures of Two Complexes of Composition [TiCl 4 (S 4 N 4 )] 2  
 Abstract    of TiCl 4 with S 4 N 4 in CH 2 C1 2 /CC1 4 produces a mixture of two crystalline dinuclear complexes of composition [TiCl 4 (S 4 N 4)L. Crystal data for the orange-yellow a-isomer: mono-clinic, space group P2 x /n with a = 11.608(3) A, b = 8.304(3) Ä, c = 10.938(5) A. ß = 101.06(4)° and Z = 2. Crystal data for the red-brown /J-isomer: monoclinic, space group P2,/c with a = 11.220(2) Ä, b = 13.868(2) Ä, c -14.839(4) k, ß = 106.18(2)° and Z = 4. Crystal structure analyses reveal that the S 4 N 4 molecules in the a-form act as 1.3-N.N'-bonded bridging ligands and in the /S-form as N-bonded monodentate ligands.

 Title    Cp2Ti,v-Komplexe mit Oximatoliganden Cp2TiIV Complexes with Oxim ato Ligands  
 Abstract    The reaction of Cp2TiCl2 with oximes in the two phase system (CHC13, Cp2TiCl2)/(H20 , NaOH, oxime) leads to ionic complexes of the type [Cp2TiIV (H20)(oximato)]+X". Several com­ plexes of this type were prepared. They are surprisingly stable against air and water. The fol­ lowing compounds are described in detail: [Cp2Ti(H2O)(ONC6H l0)]NO3 (8) containing a cy-clohexanoneoximato ligand, and two complexes with 1,4-cyclohexanedionedioximato ligands, namely the mononuclear complex [Cp2Ti(H20)(0 N C 6H8N0H)]Cl • H20 (9) and the dinuclear complex [Cp,Ti(H20)(0 N C 6H8N 0)(H ,0)TiC p2](N 0 3)2-4H20 (10). X-ray structure determi­ nations show, that the ON fragment of the oximato ligand acts as side-on bonded three-elec­ tron donating ligand. The Ti atom thus has an 18-electron configuration.  Title    Photoreactivity of Titanocene Pentasulfide  
 Abstract    The electronic spectrum o f Cp2TiSs shows a long-wavelength absorption at Am ax = 492 nm which is assigned to the lowest-energy S52~ ^ T i IV ligand-to-metal charge transfer (L M C T) transition. The photolysis o f the complex in C H 2CI2 leads to the formation o f Cp2T iC l2 and elemental sulfur. It is suggested that L M C T excitation initiates a reductive elimination with the extrusion o f S5 while the reduced titanocene is reoxidized by the solvent.
