 Title    Chemosystematics of Japanese Heterotropa (Aristolochiaceae)  
 Abstract    A survey o f chemical com position o f forty-four species o f H eterotropa growing in Japan and Formosa showed that four chem ical groups could be distinguished and that two routes o f distribution to Japan from China may be suspected on the basis o f phenylpropane com ponents.

T h e E ssen tial O il fro m L eav es o f C hrysanthem um balsam ita L.. In se c tic id al A c tiv ity a n d C o m p o s itio n The essential oil from leaves o f Chrysanthemum balsam ita L. was analyzed by G C and G CM S techniques. About 30 components have been identified. The oil revealed insecticidal properties against aphids. Very little phytotoxicity was observed. The insecticidal activity could not be attributed to one o f the single main substituents o f the oil.
