 Title    Studies on Vitamin B12 and Related Compounds, 51 [1] Direct Syntheses of Alkylcobalamins from Alkanes and Vitamin B12r under "Oxidizing-Reducing" Conditions  
 Abstract    Syntheses of methylcobalamin from methane, and of n-alkylcobalamins from n-alkanes (C2 C10) and vitamin Bi2r are described. The compounds are formed under "oxidizing-reducing" conditions: Oxygen radicals (02~, HOO -, and HO') are generated from the reaction of O2 with reducing metal ions, notably V +3 (aq) and abstract hydrogen from the alkane substrates. The resulting alkyl radicals are captured by vitamin Bj2r with high efficiency to yield alkylcobalamins. The reactions take place at room temperature in mildly alkaline or acidic solutions. In addition to n-alkylcobalamins, the preparation of neopentylcobalamin from neopentane, of isobutylcobalamin from isobutane, and of several cycloalkylcobalamins from cycloalkanes, is also reported. Methyl radicals generated in D20 from CH4 under "oxidizing-reducing" conditions are reduced to yield CH3D.

 Title    Darstellung und Struktur von Phosphazenylcyclophosphazenen Synthesis and Structure of Phosphazenylcyclophosphazenes  
 Abstract    Various phosphazenylcyclophosphazenes N3P3Xn(N = PA3)e-n with X = Cl, F, A = Me, Ph, NMe2, OEt, OPr», OBut" and n = 1-3 were obtained by desilylation methods. Chemical and spectroscopical properties dependent on the substituents are discussed. Isomers of di-and tri-substituted compounds were isolated and their structures elucidated by NMR spectroscopy.

 Title    Synthesis of Hexahydroindazole, Tetrahydro-[pyrimidoquinazolinone, benzodiisoxazolone] Derivatives and Anils from Diethyl l,4-Cyclohexanedione-2,5-dicarboxylate  
 Abstract    Treatment of diethyl l,4-cyclohexanedione-2,5-dicarboxylate (1) with hydrazine hydrate in glacial acetic acid afforded the diazobicycloocatdienedicarboxylate (2) and the azine (3). On the other hand, condensation of 1 with benzenesulphonylhydrazide in ethanolic solution gave the indazole derivative (4). Interaction of 1 with urea or hydroxyl-amine afforded the tetrahydropyrimidoquinazolinone (5) and the tetrahydrobenzodi-isoxazolone (6), respectively. Treatment of 1 with aniline gave the mono-anil (7) which, when subjected to Japp-Klingemann reaction with ja-anisidine gave the dihydrazonoanil (8) and their condensation with benzidine in acetic acid gave the hydrazonoketoester (9). On the other hand condensation of 7 with hydrazine hydrate in ethanolic solution af-forded the azobis (5-anilinoterephthalate) (10) and the hexahydrobenzodipyrazolone (11).

 Title    Related Compounds from l,4-Bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-2,5-diamino-l,4-cyclohexadiene  
 Abstract    Interaction of o-phenylenediamine with l,4-Bis-(ethoxycarbonyl)-2,5-diamino-l,4-cyclo-hexadiene (1) gave 2, which cyclised to the hexahydrobenzodiazepinone (3). On the other hand, interaction of 1 with o-aminophenol, gave compound 4 which on treatment with polyphosphoric acid gave the tetrahydrobis-benzooxazepinone (11). Treatment of 1 with phenylisothiocyanate and formamide afforded the dithiopyrimidoquinazolinone (8) and the tetrahydropyrimidoquinazolinone (9), while the interaction of 1 with benzenesulphonyl-chloride gave dibenzenesulphonamido-cyclohexadiene dicarboxylate (10). The structure of these compounds was established by chemical and spectroscopic methods.

 Abstract    Semicobaltates (Co-1/2) containing olefin and trimethylphosphane ligands are synthe-sized from Co(olefin)(PMe3)3 and potassium metal. The X-ray crystal structure determina-tion of the title compound shows that the unit cell contains two K atoms in equal ionic contact with the ethylene ligands of four Co(C2H4)(PMe3)3 complex units, two of which are interacting with both K atoms. In solution the semicobaltates exist in hydrocarbon solvents under argon only, while in contrast under ethylene or nitrogen atmospheres or in donor solvents disproportionation occurs to give Co(O) and Co(-I) species.  Abstract    Röntgenstrukturanalyse von Diehloro-2.5-diphenyl-1.5-hexadienplatin(II), Cl2Pt((C6H5)2C6H8) Preparation and Characterization of 1,4-and 1,5-Diene Complexes of Platinum; X-ray Analysis of Dichloro-2,5-diphenyl-l,5-hexadiene Platinum(II), ((C^P^CöHs^CßHs) The reaction of cis-(C6H5CN)2PtCl2 and Na2PtCl4 with the dienes 1,4-pentadiene and 2,5-diphenyl-l,5-hexadiene yields the species eis-(1,4-pentadiene) PtCl2 and cis-(2,5-diphenyl-l,5-hexadiene)PtCl2, respectively. The compounds have been fully characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1 H-NMR, mass spectroscopy and by X-ray methods.

 Title    Synthese und Kristallstruktur eines Triazido-nitrido-bipyridyl-Komplexes des Molybdäns(VI): MoN(N3)3(bipy) Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Triazido Nitrido Bipyridyle Complex of Molybdenum(VI): MoN(N3)3(bipy)  
 Abstract    The reaction of MoCl^bipy) with an excess of (CH3)3SiN3 in 1,2-dichloroethane results in the formation of a mixture of MoN(N3)3(bipy) and Mo(N2)Cl2(bipy). The latter is an insoluble, brownish compound of yet unknown structure. MoN(N3)3(bipy) is very soluble in 1,2-dichloroethane and easily hydrolysed. It can be crystallized from toluene in the form of explosive, red crystals of the space group P 2i\n. The crystal structure is built up by monomeric complexes, in which the Mo atom has a distorted sixfold coordination. The three azido groups are located eis to the nitrido ligand, with their free electron pair at the a-N-atom pointing away from the closely neighbouring nitrido ligand. The bipyridine forms two bonds of quite different length (224,0 and 241,9 pm) with the Mo atom, as trans to the triply bounded nitrido ligand (Mo = N = 164,2 pm) only a weak interaction is possible.

 Title    O.O-Diphenyl-N-chloramidophosphat 0,0-Diphenyl-N-chlorophosphoramidate  
 Abstract    (C6H50)2P(0)NHC1 can be synthesized in 83-88% yield by direct hydrolysis of (C6H50)2P(0)NCl2 in petroleumether solution. This first example of a new class of N-halogeno compounds, a colourless crystalline substance was characterized by 31 P and X H NMR, IR and mass spectroscopy as well as by elemental analysis.

 Abstract    Some new mixed ligand tetrakis chelates derived from tris acetylacetonates of La, Ce, Pr, Nd, and Gd -with other /?-diketones, like l-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-pyrazolone-5 and l-phenyl-3-methyl-4-acetyl-pyrazolone-5 have been synthesised. The compounds are characterised by elemental analyses and IR data. The UV spectral properties and the conductance in DMF have also been reported.

 Abstract    The reaction of l,l,l-tris(diiodoarsinomethyl)ethane, CH3C(CH2Asl2)3 (1) with NaAs(CeH5)2 in the molar ratio of 1:3 gives 4-methyl-l,2,6-triarsa-tricyclo[2,2,l,0 2 -6 ]-heptane, CH3C(CH2As)3 (2). The previously synthesized CH3C(CH2AsS)3 (4) can be de-sulphurated with triphenylphosphine to yield also 2. The reaction of 1 with NaSeH gives the new cage compound 6-methyl-l,3,4-triarsa-2,8-diselena-tricyclo[3,3,l,0 3 > 4 ]-nonane, CH3C(CH2As)3Se2 (5).
