 Title    Tetramethylsilan -ein Methylierungsreagenz für Bortrihalogenide Tetramethylsilane -a Methylating Agent for Borontrihalides  
 Abstract    The interaction of tetramethylsilane and BY3 (Y = Br, I) in a 1:1 ratio at elevated temperature yields quantitatively MesSiY (Me = CH3) and MeBY2, while a 2:1 ratio gives 2 moles MesSiY and Me2BY. Except for MeBl2 the reactions are convenient routes for the preparation of these compounds. -Using CD3BI2 the reaction path of the formation of MP2BI was studied.

 Title    CHsNHsSnBraJa-z = 0-3), a Sn(II)-System with Cubic Perovskite Structure  
 Abstract    CH3NH3SnBr^l3 -.x [x = 0—3) has the cubic perovskite structure with the unit cell parameters a = 5.89 A {x = 3), a = 6.01 A (x = 2) and a = 6.24 A (x = 0) and Z = 1. The compounds show intense colour and conducting property. The U9 Sn Mössbauer data are consistent with the high symmetry environment of the Sn(II)-ion. A bonding model, using a "p-resonance-bonding", can explain the properties of the cubic system. The synthesis is described.

 Abstract    Some new aspects of the synthesis and reacti-vity of nitrosyl complexes are given. The com-plexes [Cr(NO)(NCS5] 3 -, [Mo(NO)(NCS)4] 2 -[3a], [Os(NO)(NCS)5] 2 -and [Mo(NO)(CN)5] 3 -have been isolated as tetraphenylphosphonium salts.

 Abstract    Reacting Zeise's salt with the phospha(III)azene (R3C)(R3Si)N-P = N-CR3 (R = CH3) (1) one gets the platinum phospha(III)azene complex (2), Cl2PtI<2 (L = 1). 2 adds water and methanol to the P=N bond of the phospha(III)azene ligand with formation of 3, Cl2Pt(PRR2 1)2 (R = (CH3)3SiO, R 1 = (CH3)3CNH) and 4, Cl2Pt(PRR 1 R 2)2 (R = CH30, R 1 = (CH3)3CNH, R2 = (CH3)3SiNC(CH3)3). 2, 3 and 4 have trans configuration, 4 also forms a mixture of the meso and d, 1 isomers.  Abstract    Dichloro-bis(triphenylphosphine)platinum(II) (2) and Dichloro-l,2-bis(diphenylphos-phine)ethane-palladium(II) (3) do react with hydrogensulfide and sodiumsulfide under formation of the corresponding compounds Di-hydrogensulfido-l,2-bis(diphenylphos-phine)ethane-palladium(II) (4), Disodiumsulfido-l,2-bis(diphenylphosphine)ethane-palla-dium(II) (7), Di-hydrogensulfido-bis(triphenylphosphine)platinum(II) (1) and Di-sodium-sulfido-bis(triphenylphosphine)platinum(II) (8). 2 and 3 react with sodiumhydrogen-selenide under formation of Di-hydrogenselenido-l,2-bis(diphenylphosphine)ethane-palladium(II) (5) and Di-hydrogenselenido-bis(triphenylphosphine)platinum(II) (6). IR and *H NMR spectra are reported.

 Abstract    Various homogeneous metalate(O) complexes are synthesized with [SnCl3] -as a ligand. Complexes of the type [M(SnCl3)6] 6 -are prepared from [M(CO)3(SnCl3)3] 3 -(M = Cr, Mo, W) in nitromethane. [Fe(SnCl3)5] 5_ is formed by UV irradiation of [Fe(CO)4SnCl3]~ in aceto-nitrile. [M(SnCl3)4] 4-(M = Ni, Pd, Pt) anions are synthesized by thermal substitution reactions with Ni(CO)4, Pd(PF3)4, and Pt(PF3)4. All metalate(O) ions are isolated as salts with the [N(C2H5)4] + cation and characterized by IR spectra and 119m Sn-Mössbauer spectra as well as by analysis.

 Title    Eine neuartige Assoziation zwischen Kalium und komplex gebundenem DistickstofF -Struktur von KN2Co(PMe3)3 A Novel Association of Potassium and Co-ordinated Dinitrogen - Crystal Structure of KN2Co(PMe3)3  
 Abstract    [(Me3P)3CoN2]2Mg(THF)4 reacts with potassium metal to give [KN2Co(PMe3)3]6. The same compound is obtained via substitution of olefin in cobaltates K + [Co(olefin)(PMe3)3] _ by molecular nitrogen under ambient conditions. Infrared data show that association is preserved even in ether solvents. The stability of cobaltates [Co(PMe3)3L]~ increases in the order L — olefin < dinitrogen < PMe3. Reactions of the title compound proceed as oxidative additions to the monomer with loss of molecular nitrogen. Methyl iodide and allyl bromide yield the fluxional complexes CoCH3(PMe3)4 and ^ 3 -C3H5Co(PMe3)3, respectively. Ethyl bromide gives cis-CoH(C2H4)(PMe3)3 via /3-elimination and coordination of ethylene. The molecular structure of [KN2Co(PMe3)3]6 reveals a novel type of cluster: a double cube made up from six KN2 units with six aro-Co(PMe3)3 groups (d(NN) = 116-118 pm, d(CoN) = 170-171 pm).
