 Title    Darstellung und Kristallstruktur vom Arsen(III)arsen(V)oxidhydroxid As305(0H) Preparation and Crystal Structure of the Arsenic(III) Arsenic(V) Oxide Hydroxide As305(0H)  
 Abstract    The title compound was prepared by heating the hydrolysis products of AS2O4 in a sealed tube. The crystal structure was determined and refined to R = 0.058 [P2j./c, a = 1250.4(6), b = 459.3(2), c = 1097.6(6) pm, ß = 118.08(5)°, Z = 4]. The structure consists of infinite layers, containing pyramidal As(III)03 and tetrahedral As(V)04 groups, and stabilised by hydrogen bonding.

 Abstract    The compound Au 2 (Se0 3) 2 (Se 2 0s) was pre-pared from gold metal and seienic acid at 553 K. The crystal structure [C2/c, a = 2034.4(5), b = 413.0(1), c = 1325.4(3) pm, ß = 115.88(3)°, Z = 4] was refined to R = 0.035. Both gold atoms lie on crystallographic centres of sym-metry and show square planar coordination (Au-0 196.9-201.3 pm). The extended structure consists of three cross-linked systems of the form [ • • • -Au-(selenite or diselenite) -Au----].

 Abstract    The compound ASPO4 was prepared from AS2O3 and P2O5 in a sealed tube at 673 K. The crystal structure, isostructural with As02, was refined to R = 0.021 [Pnma, a — 843.15(10), b = 502.29(10), c = 720.39(12) pm, Z = 4]. The structure consists of infinite layers. The arsenic(III) atoms are coordinated by three oxygen atoms at right angles; phosphorus(V) by four oxygens in the form of a distorted tetrahedron.

 Abstract    The title compound was prepared by heating the hydrolysis products of ASPO4 in a sealed tube. The crystal structure was determined and refined to R = 0.028 [P2i/n, a = 454.5(1), b = 1229.0(2), c = 972.8(3) pm, ß = 100.13(2)°, Z = 4]. The structure, which is not isostructural with As30s(0H), consists of infinite layers, containing pyramidal AS(III)03 and tetrahedral P(V)04 groups, and stabilised by hydrogen bonding of the form P-O-H -O-P.

 Abstract    Au2(Se0s)20 was prepared from gold and excess selenic acid in a sealed tube at 533 K. The crystal structure [P6a2, a = 659.2(2), b = 1183.7(3), c = 399.8(1) pm, Z = 2,R = 0.087] was determined; gold atoms are bridged by oxide ions (lying on twofold axes) and selenite ions. The extended structure consists of polymeric layers parallel to the ««/-plane. The light atom positions are inaccurate because of the presence of a heavy atom in a polar space group.
