 Abstract    The crystal structure of Rb2Ca(N3)4-4H20 has been determined by single crystal X-ray methods. The compound is isotypic with K2Ca(N3)4-4H20 and crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ccca, Z = 4, a = 1949.1(12) pm, b = 1099.5(3) pm, c — 622.2(1) pm.

 Title    Crystal Structure Investigation of Two Polymeric Chromium(III) Azide Complexes; KCr(pyridine)4(N3)4 and RbCr(pyridine)3(N3)4. A Structure Containing /i( 1,3) and //(1,1,3) Bridging Azido Ligands between Chromium and Rubidium Centered Polyhedra  
 Abstract    The structures of two polymeric complexes of chrom ium (III) azide with pyridine, KCr(py)4(N 3)4 (1), and RbCr(py)3(N 3)4 (2), were determined by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data: 1, C20H 20N 16CrK, monoclinic, space group C2/c, a = 1611.2(5), b = 1050.6(3), c = 1609.0(5) pm, ß -91.69(3)°, Z = 4 and Rw = 0.037 for 923 diffractometer data; 2, C l5H 15N 15CrRb, monoclinic, space group P 2 Jn, a = 1311.9(3), b = 1139.0(4), c = 1523.3(4) pm, ß = 109.39(2)°, Z = 4 and Rw = 0.046 for 2336 data. The crystal structure of 1 contains six-coordinated chromium and potassium cations with two pyridine ligands and four y«(l,3) bridging azido groups forming a three-dimensional net­ work structure. The chromium atoms are trans-coordinated by the pyridine ligands, whereas the potassium cations are m -coordinated. The polymeric complex 2 features di-//(l,l,3) azido bridged C rR bN 2 rings, distorted octahedral chromium(III) coordination geometry, seven-coordinated rubidium, and di-//(l,3) azido bridges which link the binuclear RbCr(pyridine)3(N 3)2 moieties into infinite chains parallel to the b axis.

 Abstract    Rb4Cd(V0)(V2 0 7)2Cl und Tl4C d(V0)(V20 7)2Cl Synthesis and X-Ray Structure Analysis o f Rb4C d (V 0)(V 20 7)2Cl and Tl4C d(V 0)(V 20 7)2Cl Single crystals of (I) Rb4Cd(V0)(V20 7)2Cl and (II) Tl4C d(V 0)(V 20 7)2Cl have been prepared by flux techniques. The compounds were examined by X-ray analysis. They crystallize with tetragonal symmetry, space group C{-P4 with (I): a = 9 .142(1); c = 5.525(1), (II): a = 9.150(1), c = 5.405(1) A, Z = 4. Both compound belong to the K4CuV50 | 5Cl-Type. V (l) forms V20 7 double tetrahedra, connected by square V (2)0 5 pyramids and C d 0 4Cl2 octahedra. The short V (2)-0 distance indicates a vanadyl group.

 Title    Darstellung und Kristallstruktur von Rb6Sn2S7 New Chalcogenometallates with Binuclear Anions, I: Preparation and Crystal Structure of Rb6Sn2S7  
 Abstract    Colorless crystals of the new thiostannate Rb6Sn2S7 were obtained by reacting a stoichio­ metric melt of Rb2S, Sn and S at 700°C. The compound is orthorhombic, oP60, s.g. f '2,2,2, (No. 19) with a = 9.982(4), b = 13.45(1), c = 15.20(1) A; Z = 4. The crystal structure was determined from diffractometer data and refined to a conventional R of 0.043 (1380 Fo's, 137 variables). The crystal structure contains dimeric anions, [Sn2S7]2 -, which are built up by slightly distorted SnS4 tetrahedra sharing a common sulfur atom. The mean Sn-S bond length calculates as 2.384 Ä, the bond angle on the bridging S is 110.4°. The structure contains six independent Rb-cations which are coordinated to 5-6 sulfur atoms in irregular configurations. Neue Chalkogenometallate mit binuklearen Anionen, I:
