 Title    New Anthraquinone8 and Anthraquinone Glycosides from Morinda lucida  
 Abstract    From the trank heartwood of Morinda lucida four new anthraquinones, 3-hydroxy-anthraquinone-2-carbaldehyde, morindone-5-methyl ether, munjistin methyl ester, damna-canthol-cu-methyl ether and two glycosides, soranjidiol 6-0-/?-primveroside and lucidin 3-0-ß-primveroside were isolated and identified by spectroscopic and chemical methods.

 Title    Coumarins and Iridoids from Crucianella graeca, Cruciata glabra, Cruciata laevipes and Cruciata pedemontana (Rubiaceae)  
 Abstract    The coumarin and iridoid composition of Crucianella graeca, Cruciata glabra, Cruciata laevipes and Cruciata pedemontana has been studied. Daphnin and daphnetin glucoside do­ minated in C. glabra along with low concentrations of daphnetin, deacetylasperulosidic acid and scandoside. In C. laevipes and C. pedemontana were found the same coumarin glucosides along with six iridoid glucosides. In Crucianella graeca were found ten iridoid glucosides.

 Title    Flavonol Glycosides from Paederia scandens var. mairei  
 Abstract    Four kaempferol glycosides and five quercetin glycosides have been isolated from a meth-anolic extract of Paederia scandens var. mairei leaves and stems, in which in addition four un­ known glycosides of kaempferol and quercetin are present in a trace. Nine flavonol glycosides including a new glycoside quercetin 3-0-rutinoside-7-0-xylosylglucoside (paederinin) were identified by PC, HPLC, UV spectral and N M R studies.

 Title    Indoid Glucosides from Four Balkan Endemics of the Galium incurvum Group (Rubiaceae)  
 Abstract    The Balkan endemics G. mirum, Galium macedonicum, G. rhodopeum and G. aegeum, from the G. incurvum group, were screened for iridoid glucosides. Eleven known iridoid glucosides were isolated, identified and analysed for the first time in the investigated plants. The main components appeared to be asperuloside and/or the non-acetylated iridoid acids -deacetylasperulosidic acid, scandoside, monotropein. Phylogenetic relationships are discussed.

 Title    N O T I Z E N Long Chain Alkanes and Alcohols from the Leaf Waxes of Different Coffea Species  
 Abstract    A gaschromatographic study has been made of the alkane-and alcoholic fractions from the leaf waxes of some Coffea species. The n-alkanes have the odd-carbon-numbered, the primary alcohols the even-carbon-numbered members pre­ dominating. The major homologues of the alkane fractions are C29 and C31 and of the alcoholic fractions C30 and C32 . The sub-divisions Erythrocoffea and Pachycoffea could be distinguished by the alkane patterns. Im Rahmen einer chemotaxonomischen Studie der Gattung Coffea wurden die Alkan-und Alkohol­ fraktionen der Blattwachse untersucht.
