 Title    Synthese und Komplexierung phosphorylierter spacer-modifizierter Glucosederivate Synthesis and Complexation of Spacer Modified Phosphorylated Glucose Derivatives  
 Abstract    Treatment of the spacer modified glucose derivative 1 with diethylaminotrimethylsilane furnished the bis-silylated molecule 2. Reaction of 2 with two equivalents of the phosphorus compounds 3, 4, and 5 led to the spacer phosphorylated glucosyl derivatives 6, 7 and 8. Complexation of 6 with (COD)PtCl2 gave complex 9; the ds-conform ation of 9 could be confirmed by 31P NMR investigations.

 Title    Crystal and Molecular Structure of the Linear Chain Bis(l,2-diaminopropane)platinum(II,rV)tribromide  
 Abstract    [Pt(dapn)2]Br3 (dapn = 1,2-diaminopropane), ortho-rhombic, Immm (Dfj>), a = 5.338(1), b = 6.900(5), c= 19.738(4) A, Z = 2, V= 727 Ä 3 , dc = 2.7 g • cm~ 3 . The structure was refined to R = 0.094 for 576 reflections and can be described as a Wolffram's salt analogue. A rotating crystal photograph shows weak diffuse layers between the Bragg reflections as evidence for one-dimensional order along the M-X-M chain, but for successful refine-ment the M-X distance (2.673(1) A) have to be assumed to be equal.

X -R ay Structure A nalysis o f (Ph3P)2Pt(/72-Ph2C=S) W olfgang W eigand2, R alf W ünsch3, C hristian R obl3, Grzegorz M lostonb, Heinrich N öthc und M anfred Schm idt0 3,3,5,5-Tetraphenyl-1,2,4-trithiolane (1) reacts with twofold excess of (Ph3P)2Pt(?/2-C2H4) (4) to give a 1:1 mixture of the complexes (Ph3P)2Pt (SCPh2S) (6a) and (Ph3P)2Pt(?/2-Ph2C=S) (7a). Treatment of 3,3,6,6-tetraphenyl-l,2,4,5-tetrathiane (2) with a fourfold excess of 4 yields [Pt2(PPh3)4(/j-S)2] (8) and the platinum(O) compound 7a. The reaction of the 1,2,3,5,6-pentathiepane 3 with a fourfold excess of 4 affords a 1:1:1 mixture of 8, the platinum(O) complex 7b and the bis-thiolato platinum(II) complex 6b. The thioketone complexes 7a-c were formed in smooth reactions of 4 with the thioketones 5a-c. The molecular structure of (Ph3P)2Pt(?/2-Ph2C=S) (7a) has been established by single-crystal X-ray analysis.

 Abstract    -2-fluoro-5,6-benzo-l,3,2-phosphorinane-4-one (1) reacted with (COD)PtCl2 (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) or K2PtCl4 to give the c/s-dichloro-platinum(II) complex (2). The reactions of 1 with the tetracarbonyl norbornadiene derivatives of Cr, Mo and W furnished the complexes 3 -6 . In the case of the chromium and tungsten complexes the trans-isomers 3 and 6 were formed, due to a c/s-?ra«s-isomerization. Room temperature and low temperature 3IP NMR spectra of a mixture of 5 and 6 show no significant temperature dependence of the cis-trans equilibrium. The reaction of 1 with the pentacarbonyl tetrahydro-furan derivative of W led to the product 7. The spirophosphoranes 8 and 9 were obtained in low yields. The analogous reactions of 10, 15 and 20 with (COD)PtCl2 and the tetracarbonyl norbornadiene derivatives of Cr and Mo furnished the coordination compounds 1 1 -1 4 , 16-18, 21 and 23. In the case of all chromium complexes only the /rarcs-isomers 11,16 and 21 were formed, whereas in the case of molybdenum m-fraH.s'-isomer mixtures 12 and 13, as well as 17 and 18 were obtained. An attempt to obtain the cis-isomer of the molybdenum complex 22 failed. In the case of platinum the expected m-complexes 14 and 23 were formed, while the attempted synthesis of 19 was unsuccessful. All these results are interpreted in terms of both steric and electronic factors. The ligands 1, 10, 15 and 20 coordinate via phosphorus. The va­ lidity of the concept of hard and soft acids and bases (HSAB) was confirmed. The characteri­ zation of 2 -7 , 1 1-14, 16-18, 21 and 23 rests, especially, on their 'H, 13C and 3IP NMR spec­ tra, and their mass and infrared spectra. 31p -3,p coupling constants 2/(PP) for the cis-coordi­ nated complexes 4, 5 and 14 involving two equivalent phosphorus ligands are also reported.
