| The heterogeneous reactions: 0 s 0 4 s = 0 s 0 4 g, 2 0 s 0 2,s = Oss + 0 s 0 4 g, Oss + 3 0 s 0 4 g = 4 0 s 0 3 g, 0 s 0 2s + 0 s 0 4 g = 2 0 s 0 3 g and the homogeneous reaction 0 s 0 4 " = 0 s 0 3 g + '/2 0 2 g were determined by total pressure measurements. From this and from chemical transport reactions of 0 s 0 2 and Os with Osmium tetroxide, the enthalpy of formation of gaseous 0 s 0 3 was computed to Z\H ß(0s03 g i98) = -40,0 ± 3 kcal/mol. | | |
