 Title    Subsolidus Phasenbeziehungen in den Systemen M g G a 2S4-M gC r2S4  
 Abstract    Neue Verbindungen mit Spinell-, Olivin-und ZnIn2S4(IIIa)-Struktur Subsolidus Phase Relationships in the Systems M g G a 2S4-M gC r2S4 and M g G a 2S4-M gIn 2S4 N e w Compounds with Spinei-, O livine-and Zn In 2S4(IIIa)-T y p e Structure The title systems have been investigated on samples quenched at 700, 800 and 1000 °C. Five new compounds have been obtained and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction: Spinel type M gG a02C rl 8S4, two compounds crystallizing in the olivine structure, MgGaCrS4 and M gGaInS4, and two layered materials, M gGaj 5Cra5S4 and M gG aj 5In0.5S4. Lattice para­ meters and phase widths o f the compounds are given.

 Title    NQR Investigation of Intercalates and Complexes of Cadmium and Lead Iodides with Pyridine, Aniline, and Piperidine  
 Abstract    I27 I and 14 N NQR have been investigated in two cadmium idodide -pyridine compounds, the inter-calate CdI 2 +5.9 pyridine and the CdI 2 Py 2 complex. In the intercalate, iodine is mainly ionic and nitro-gen like in pure pyridine; in the complex, iodine exhibits 30% covalency while nitrogen, coordinated to the central cadmium atom of the complex, and presents coupling constants e 2 Qq and r\ smaller than in pure pyridine. The difference between the two compounds is also revealed by the thermal coefficient of the quadrupole coupling constants and the relaxation. Results on the other title compounds are also given.

 Title    Dehydration of Solid SnCl2(O H 2) * H 20 to SnCl2  
 Abstract    The temperature and flow rate dependence of the dehydration of SnCl2(O H 2) • H 20 , having a layered structure, into SnCl2 in a dry inert gas stream is studied. The experimental results obtained via chlorine N Q R and weight measurements are analysed in the light of the structural transforma­ tion of this compound. The mechanism of water depletion from the layered structure is discussed.
