 Title    Zur Kenntnis farbiger ternärer und quaternärer Zintl-Phasen Coloured Ternary and Quaternary Zintl-Phases  
 Abstract    Ternary and quaternary, mostly coloured compounds of Au, Pd and Pt, resp., with Li, Mg, Sc and Sn were prepared and structurally investigated. They crystallize in a "filled" Zinkblende type structure (space group F?3m) and can be characterized as ternary or quaternary Zintl-phases. Colours seem to depend on unfilled d-orbitals of Au, Pd or Pt.

 Abstract    The three new compounds crystallize ortho-rhombically, space group Cmcm with Na2AuAs: a = 887.1(2) pm, 6 = 712.9(2) pm, c = 576.0(2) pm; Na2AuSb: a = 927.9(3) pm, b = 756.2(2) pm, c = 584.1(5) pm; K2AuSb: a = 1045.9(5) pm, 6 = 786.1(3) pm, c = 650.0(5) pm.

 Title    Darstellung und Kristallstruktur einiger Tetracarboxylatoaurate(III) Preparation and Crystal Structure of Some Tetracarboxylatoaurates(III)  
 Abstract    Various salts M(AuX 4) 2 with X = OCOCH, or OCOC 2 H 5 have been prepared by two methods: (i) the reaction of metal hydroxides M(OH) 2 with HAuCl 4 , followed by treatment of the inter-mediate products with acetic or propionic acid, or (ii) the reaction of aurates M{Au(OH) 4 } 2 with the carboxylic acids. The crystal structure of Pb{Au(0C0CH 3) 4 } 2 -2H 2 0 shows that it is isostruc-tural to the strontium salt, consisting of molecular units Pb{Au(OCOCH 3) 4 } 2 with crystallo-graphic symmetry 2. The water of crystallization forms neither coordinate bonds to a metal nor hydrogen bonds. In the analogous zinc salt the water is coordinated to the zinc atom, and the structure is a layer polymer. The two compounds that crystallize in anhydrous form. Ba{Au(OCOCH 3) 4 } 2 and Pb{Au(OCOC 2 H s) 4 } 2 , have not yet yielded crystals suitable for X-ray analysis.

 Title    Neue Pnictide mit modifizierten A1B2-Strukturen New Pnictides with M odified A1B2-Type Structures  
 Abstract    Nine new compounds A M X with A: Ca, Sr, Ba, M: Pd, Au and X : P, As were prepared by heating mixtures of the elements and investigated by X-ray methods. They crystallize in modified A1B2-type structures, for the present examples in the ZrBeSi-and SrPtSb-types, with an ordered distri­ bution of the atoms.
