 Abstract    Three equivalents o f the ether-phosphane li gands 2 a -c react with Cl2R u(PPh3)3 (1) to give the complexes rra«.s-Cl2R u (P '''0)(P ~ 0) 2 (3a-c)

Title    Ruthenium(II)-Komplexe mit dem neuen Liganden (Oxetanyl-2-methyl)diphenylphosphan
 Abstract    R uthenium (II) C om plexes w ith the N ovel L igand (O xetanyl-2-m ethyl)diphenylphosphine E k k eh ard Lindner* und A ndrea M öckel The new ether-phosphine ligand (oxetanyl-2-m ethyl)diphenylphosphine (1) with strongly basic properties is obtained by reaction o f LiPPh2 with 2-chlorom ethyloxetane. Reaction o f 1 with Cl2Ru(PPh3)3 results in the formation o f the bis(chelate) com plex rra«5-Cl2R u (P " 0)2 (2). (P —O = z/'-P-coordinated; P " 0 = ^2-0,P -eoordinated). With CO only one R u -O bond is cleaved to give the monocarbonylruthenium(II) complex rra«^-Cl2R u (C 0) (P ~ 0)(P " 0) (3). 3 shows fluxional behaviour only at higher temperatures as demonstrated by 3IP {'H } N M R spectra.

 Abstract    O xidative A d d itio n o f T etram ethyldiphosphane and -arsane to Binuclear C p '-S iM e 2 -C p '-B rid g e d M olybdenum and T ungsten C arbonyl Com plexes** W alter A b riel+,a, G e rh a rd B aum +b, H eike B urdorf*5 und Jürgen Heck*-C a AW H chem consult, Thermal reaction o f M e2Si[Cp'M(CO)3]2 (M = M o, W; Cp' = C5H 4) with tetramethyldi phosphane and -diarsane gives oxidative coupling products with bridging EM e2-groups (E = P, As). With E = P discrete binuclear com pounds are obtained, which on further thermolysis afford new species o f the general formula {M e2Si(Cp'M)2(CO)3(J w-PMe2)2} (5). X -R ay struc ture determ ination o f 5a (M = M o) and N M R data show a PM P-heteroallylic system which is bound to the second metal. In the case o f M = W a second com pound with a mixed hydrido and dim ethylphosphido bridge can be isolated, which shows fluxionality in solution. However, the oxidative additions with tetramethyldiarsane lead to insoluble products which are assumed to be polymeric with C p '-S iM e2-C p ' as well as A sM e2 bridges linking the metal centers.

Abstract    Extended photolysis of M(CO)ö (M = W, Mo) and methyl acrylate or dimethyl fumarate results in formation of (^ 2 -olefin)2M(CO)4 via the less stable (^ 2 -olefin)M(CO)5 complexes. X-ray structure analysis of (^-methyl acrylate)2W(CO)4 reveals the trans-staggered arrangement of the olefinic ligands. Rotational barriers are determined by variable temperature NMR spectroscopy.

Abstract    Products of the reaction between MBrs and PhLi are proved to be benzyne complexes [M(C6H5)4(CeH4)2(Li-OC4Hio)n], (M = Nb, Ta, W). Analysis of the temperature dependent 1 H and 7 Li NMR Spectra of [TafCeHsMCeH^fLi • OCjHiob] are interpreted on the basis of square antiprismatic/dodecahedral structure with facial CeH4 groups.
