 Title    Salts of Ferricinium Cation and its Homologues: NMR Investigation, I On Mechanisms of Spin Derealization in Salts of Ferricinium and l,l'-Dimethylferricinium Cation  
 Abstract    X H and 13 C NMR spectra of hexafluorophosphates of ferricinium (1) and 1,1'-dimethyl -ferricinium cations (2) and the EPR spectrum of 2 were recorded. Pseudocontact and contact contributions of isotropic shift were calculated and constants of hyperfine inter-action estimated according to Jesson. It is shown that the calculations of pseudocontact and contact shift via magnetic susceptibility components according to Kurland and McGarvey do not change the signs of HFS constants. According to the suggested mecha-nisms of spin derealization the jz-contribution is the dominating one.

 Title    Stabilität des Ferricinium-Kations und seine cytostatische Wirkung Stability of Ferricinium and its Cytostatic Effect  
 Abstract    The relative stabilities of different ferricinium cations were studied in buffer or serum-containing solution and in vivo and compared with their cytostatic effects in cultures of Yoshida ascites tumor cells. Although the ferricinium cation itself was the most un-stable cation compared with the dimethyl-ferricinium ca-tion and the deuterated ferricinium derivatives it showed the highest cytostatic effect.

 Title    Salts of Ferricinium Cation and its Homologues: NMR Investigation, II EPR and NMR Spectra of sym-Polymethyl Substituted Ferricinium Cations  
 Abstract    The EPR, iH and 13 C NMR spectra of methylferricinium hexafluorophosphates, [(MenCp)2Fe]PFö, n — 0-5, have been recorded. HFS constants have been estimated for all the ligand atoms. The general pattern of the spin density distribution is shown to depend on the superposition of the various mechanisms of spin derealization. For the majority of the cations the determining factors has been found to be represented by spin polarization over the jr-skeleton.
