 Title    The Electrochemical Synthesis of Neutral Zinc(II) Complexes of Schiff Base Ligands: The Crystal Structure of Bis[N-(4-methylphenyl)salicylaldiminato]zinc(II)  
 Abstract    The electrochemical synthesis and physico-chemical properties of neutral zinc(II) complexes of bidentate Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehydes are presented together with the X-ray struc-ture of bis[N-(4-methylphenyl)salicylaldiminato]zinc(II). The crystal is monoclinic, a = 21.877(3), b = 8.801(2), c = 12.027(5) Ä, ß = 96.55(3)°, space group C2/c. The complex is a monomer, and the zinc atom is tetrahedrally coordinated.

 Title    Electrochemical Synthesis of Titanium Silicides from Molten Salts  
 Abstract    Presented at the NATO Advanced Study Institute, Kas, Turkey, May 4 -14, 2001. Electrochemical synthesis o f titanium silicides from chloro-fluoride melts has been investigated by thermodynamic calculation, voltammetry and electrolysis. The electrochemical synthesis of four titanium silicides (TiSi2, TiSi, Ti5Si4, Ti5Si3) was to be a one-step process, the stoichiometry of the deposited silicides being correlated with the concentration of Si and Ti ions in the melt.

 Abstract    Elektrochemische Substitutionsreaktionen an M(CO)6_n(PR3)M-Komplexen (M = Cr, Mo, W) Electrochemical Syntheses, VII [1] Electrochemical Substitution Reactions of M(CO)6-n(PR3)n Complexes (M = Cr, Mo, W) The principle of electrochemical substitution of metal carbonyls has been applied to monosubstituted derivatives M(CO)5PR3 (M = Cr, Mo, W) with the aim of selective prepa-ration of di-and trisubstituted products M(CO)4(PR3)(PR'3) or M(CO)3(PR3)(PR'3)2. It is shown that, due to simultaneous replacement of CO and PR3 mixtures of products are formed.
