 Title    Pressure Dependence of the EFG in Semimetallic Arsenic and Antimony  
 Abstract    The pressure variation of the axial EFG at the ion sites in semimetallic arsenic and antimony, at am-bient temperature, has been investigated using pulsed NQR. A weakly nonlinear decrease of the EFG is observed in both systems. The data are analyzed in terms of the lattice contribution to the EFG, which involves a lattice of point monopoles immersed in a uniform, compensating, background charge. The pressure dependence of the EFG obtained from the present measurements is far weaker than the pres-sure dependence of the calculated lattice contribution. Our results support previous suggestions that va-lence effects are important in determining the EFG in these semimetals.

 Abstract    Upon use of a synthetic method reported earlier by us respective alloys of Na/Sn, Na/Ge and Na/Sb are dissolved in ethylene-diamine and the title compounds precipitated from the solutions in high yield. By recrystal-lisation well shaped, stable crystals are obtain-ed. The crystal structure of [Na4 • 7 en]Sn9 confirms the presence of a Sn9 4 ~-polyhedron which had been suggested by us on the basis of other investigations. The Sn9 4_ -polyhedron may be described as a distorted tricapped trigonal prism. Ethylenediamine is coordi-nated to Na+-ions exclusively.

 Title    Synthese und Kristallstruktur eines Oxoantimonats mit Verwandtschaft zum Delafossit-Typ: Cu3MgSbl940 6 Synthesis and Crystal Structure of an Oxoantimonate with Relationship to the Delafossite Type: Cu3MgSbi 40 6  
 Abstract    Single crystals of Cu3MgSb140 6 have been prepared by crystallization from melts and investigated by X-ray diffractometer techniques. Cu^MgSb] 40 6 crystallizes trigonally, space group C 3v — R3/c, a = 5.348(1), c = 34.482(8) A, Z = 6, with a Delafossite related new structure, characterized by layers containing S b 0 6 and M g06 octahedra. These layers are connected by O -C u -O dumb-bells. The crystal structure is discussed with respect to the Delafossite type.

 Abstract    Single crystals of the hitherto unknown com pound CuSbMo2O s were prepared by recrys­ tallization from melts in closed copper tubes and investigated by X-ray diffractometer techni­ que. CuSbMo^Os crystallizes in a new structure type with monoclinic symmetry, space group q ? h-I 1 2 /a l, a = 5.554(2), b = 4.916(1), c = 21.519(4) Ä, ß = 93.42(3)°, Z = 4. The crystal structure shows Sb111 in a one-sided coordination by four oxygen. Molybdenum shows the rare octahedral coordination by oxygen. M o 0 6 and C u 0 6 octahedra form triple layers stacked and connected by Sb ions along [001],
