| Title | Acid DNase Activities in Peripheral, Mononuclear Blood Cells: A Possible Parameter to Detect Proliferating Cell Populations  | ||
| Abstract | After electrophoresis in D N A -containing polyacrylamide gels, two acid D N ase activities can be detected in peripheral, mononuclear cells o f the human blood. One o f these acid D N ase activities correlates with cell proliferation; its isoelectrical point is at pi 7.4. By means o f this D N ase activity, a quantity o f less than 1% leukemic cells can be detected. The increased acid D N ase activity can indicate the proliferation o f malignant cell populations and possibly the proliferation o f cell populations during im m unological reactions. | ||
