Title    Vinamidinium-Salze als Nucleophile Vinamidinium Salts as N ucleophiles
Abstract    1,4-diazepinium salts could not be aminomethylated with conventional methods, but the hydrochlorides produced with methyleniminium salts the C-Mannich-compounds. The reactivity of the substrate was mainly controlled by electronic effects of the substituents. Aminomethylation of 1,5-diazapentadienium salts occurred only if the conformations caused no steric hindrance of the ß-C-atom. Methyl substituted 2,3-dihydro-1,4-diazepinium salts reacted with 1,3,5 triazine to pyrimidine anellated derivatives.

 Title    FTIR Study of the v 12 and the v 12 + v 14 — v 14 Bands of 1,3,5-Triazine Near 740 cm -1
Abstract    The infrared spectrum of the v 12 fundamental and its accompanying hot band v 12 + v 14 — v 14 of triazine has been measured by means of a Fourier transform spectrometer with a resolution of about 0.0023 cm" 1 . A total of about 2779 rovibrational transitions has been assigned. The ground state constants have been considerably improved whilst the parameters for the excited states tf 12 =l, i; 14 = l and tf 12 =i> 14 = l have been obtained for the first time. The standard deviations were 2.92 • 10" 4 cm" 1 for the ground state constants and 1.53 • 10" 4 cm 1 for the excited state parame-ters of v 12 showing the latter to be unperturbed. The upper state of the hot band v 12 + v 14 — v 14 was found to be perturbed by an accidental resonance.

 Title    High Resolution FTIR Spectroscopy of 1,3>5-Triazine*: The Parallel Bands v n and v 12 of 12 C 3 14 N 3 H 3 , 13 C 3 14 N 3 H 3 , 12 C 3 15 N 3 H 3 , 13 C 3 15 N 3 H 3 and 12 C 3 14 N 3 D 3
 Abstract    The present contribution reports on the analysis of the high resolution FTIR spectra of the only two IR-active parallel fundamentals v u and v 12 of the isotopomers 12 C 3 14 N 3 H 3 , 13 C 3 14 N 3 H 3 , 12 C 3 15 N 3 H 3 , C 3 15 N 3 H 3 and 12 C 3 14 N 3 D 3 , respectively, of 1,3,5-triazine. The molecular con-stants of the ground state and the upper states u u = l and v l2 = \, respectively, for all molecules under consideration are listed. The enhancement of the P-and the depletion of the R-banches, observed in the v n bands of all non-deuterated isotopomers, is discussed, and the Herman-Wallis constants obtained are given.

The NPPI13 substituent adopts a type I conformation with its nitrogen and phosphorus atom s coplanar w ith the ring. The compound, the first asymm etric 1,3,5-triazine to be crystallographically investi gated, shows significant variations in ring bond lengths and angles; these are discussed.
