 Title    Synthesis and Structure of 1,2,3-Thiadiazol-and 1,2,3-Selenadiazol-Pentacarbonyl-Complexes of the Elements Chromium and Tungsten  
 Abstract    From the reactions of (THF)M(CO)5 (M = Cr, W) with 4-phenyl-l,2,3-thiadiazol, 4-methyl-5-carboxylic acid-l,2,3-thiadiazol, 4-methyl-5-carboxylic acid ethyl ester-1,2,3-thiadiazol and 4-methyl-l,2,3-selenadiazol, pentacarbonyl-complexes are obtained as air stable compounds. IR spectra of products of similar reactions with M = Mo provide some evidence of the formation of analogous complexes. The thiadiazol complexes are also accessible directly, by photochemical displacement of carbonmonoxid in THF from the parent carbonyl. The X-ray structures of pentacarbonyl-(4-phenyl-l,2,3-thiadiazol)-tungsten and pentacarbonyl-(4-methyl-l,2,3-selenadiazol)-chromium show the coordina-tion of the ligand to the pentacarbonyl-metal-fragment via the nitrogen in position 2.

 Abstract    In the presence of small amounts of solid sodium hydroxide, [2,2-dimethyl-l-(trimethyl-siloxy)propylidene]-trimethylsilylphosphine reacts at -f 20 °C to give hexamethyldisil-oxane and 2,2-dimethylpropylidynephosphine (2). In contrast to similar alkylidyne-phosphines this compound is stable at room temperature. The IR and mass spectrum are discussed, and iH, 13 C and 31 P NMR spectral data are given.

 Title    Complexes of 1,2,4-Triazoles, Part XVII The Crystal Structure of Tris-/«-(4-ethyl-l,2,4-triazole-N l ,N 2 )- (4-ethyl-l,2,4-triazole-N 1 )-aquo-bis [bis(thiocyanato-N)- nickel(II)]hydrate, Ni2(C4N3H7)4(H20)(NCS)4 *H20 (x ~ 2.5)  
 Abstract    The crystal structure of Ni2(C4N3H7)4(H20)(NCS)4 • 2.5 H20 has been determined by X-ray diffraction techniques. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2i/n with a — 15.121(4), 6= 13.237(2), c= 18.069(3), ß = 94.71(2)° and Z = 4; R = 0.040 (Rm = 0.051). The compound consists of dimeric units in which two Ni ions are bridged by three ethyltriazole (Ettrz) groups. For one Ni, two N donating NCS" groups and an Ettrz coordinating by only one N atom complete the NiNe octahedron. The other Ni atom, which is also octahedrally coordinated, has a coordinated water molecule instead of a monodentate Ettrz.

 Title      
 Abstract    A X H and 13 C NMR spectroscopical study is performed on the basis of 37 1,2,3-selena-diazoles. Besides the discussion of chemical shifts and coupling constants of X H and 13 C, selenium satellites were measured providing 1 H 77 Se and 13 C 77 Se coupling constants.

 Title    Lanthanide Induced Shifts in the »H and 13 C Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy for Structure Elucidations of Thiadiazole Oxides  
 Abstract    A systematic investigation of the LIS-method for structure elucidations is performed on the basis of thermally generated monoxides of 1,2,3-thiadiazoles. A calculation process for the evaluation of lanthanide induced shifts according to the McConnell-Robertson equa-tion was developed. The program can be applied to underdetermined systems with fewer variables than chemically not equivalent X H plus 13 C nuclei. A quality criterium for the method is given by 4-phenyl-l,2,3-thiadiazole-3-oxid -wellknown by an X-ray analysis.

 Abstract    Tri-Jerf-butyl-cyclotriphosphane is obtained by the dehalogenation of l,3-diiodo-l,2,3-tri-£erf-butyl-triphosphane with lithiumhydride. This reaction represents a so far unknown type of ring-closure leading to cy clotriphosphanes, which corresponds to the classical synthesis of cyclo -propanes starting from 1,3-dichloropropanes.

 Title    Complexes of 1,2,4-Triazoles, Part XVI Binuclear Complexes of Transition Metal(II)thiocyanates with 4-Ethyl-l,2,4-triazole  
 Abstract    Coordination compounds of 4-ethyl-l,2,4-triazole (Ettrz) with Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn are reported. The compounds have been identified and characterized by chemical analyses, infrared and ligand field spectra, electron paramagnetic resonance (e.p.r.) measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermoanalytical experiments. Except for the Cu compound, which is polynuclear, all compounds appear to be binuclear, with both bridging bidentate and non-bridging triazole ligands. The overall formula is M(Ettrz)2(NCS)2(H20)3/2 for Mn, Fe, Co and Ni. The copper and zinc compounds have the formula Cu(Ettrz)2(NCS)2 and Zn(Ettrz)3/2(NCS)2.
