	Abstract	Ternary Intermetallic Lithium Compounds, X-ray By phase analysis in the ternary systems Li-Zn(Cd or In)-Sn(Pb) several nonvalent cubic phases were found. Structure deter-mination on Li7.72Zn4.28Sri4 showed that the phases crystallize in a modified NaTl-type-lattice.

	Title	Über die Reaktionen von Phosphanen MenP [OCH(CF3 )2] 3_" mit Hexafluoraceton Reactions of Phosphanes MenP[OCH(CF3)2]3-n with Hexafluoroacetone
	Abstract	The stable phosphanes Me2POCH(CF3)2 and MeP[OCH(CF3)2]2 have been prepared and reacted with hexafluoroacetone yielding 1,2-oxaphosphetanes. The analogous reaction with Me2PF was carried out giving a 1 : 1 : 1 mixture of a 1,3,2-, a 1,3,4-dioxaphospholane, and a 1,2-oxaphosphetane. P[OCH(CF3)2]3 did not react with hexafluoroacetone. The new compounds were characterized by NMR, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis.

The dioxane is strongly hydrogen bonded to an antimony(V) chloride water adduct. The vibrational spectra of the solid are assigned.

	Abstract	The interaction of tetramethylsilane and BY3 (Y = Br, I) in a 1:1 ratio at elevated temperature yields quantitatively MesSiY (Me = CH3) and MeBY2, while a 2:1 ratio gives 2 moles MesSiY and Me2BY. Except for MeBl2 the reactions are convenient routes for the preparation of these compounds. -Using CD3BI2 the reaction path of the formation of MP2BI was studied.

	Abstract	Titanium(IV) Complex, X-ray, Molecular Structure The title compound has been obtained from acetylacetone, AgClC>4 and either Tr-CsHsTiCls or TiCl4. An X-ray structure analysis (R — 0.068) shows the cation to be octahedrally coordinated. The average values of the Ti-0 distances and of the endocyclic O-Ti-O angles are 1.94 Ä and 84.3°, respectively.

The crystal structure was investigated by X-rav data (space group D6h-P63/mmc, lattice constants: a = 565.3, c = 2281.0 pm). Ba2FenAln034 is isotypic with Na20 • 11 AI2O3, the structure of)S-alumina.

	Abstract	New yü?2-X^2-compounds, BaZn2?2 and BaZn2As2, were prepared. The structures were determined by X-ray methods. In the case of BaZn2P2 (S.G. I4/mmm; a = 4.019 A, c = 13.228 A) layers of edgeshared ZnP4-tetrahedra alternate with Ba-layers; in the case of BaZn2As2 (S.G. Pnma; a = 10.010 A, b = 4.246 A, c = 10.910 A) Zn and As build a 3D-network of edge and vertex shared tetrahedra with Ba in the holes of this network.

	Abstract	By the reaction of 2-alkyl-4,6-dichloro-l,3,5-trimethylborazines with bis(trimethyl-silyl)amine and pyrolysis of the products in vacuo, macrocyclic polyborazines consisting of NH-bridged borazine rings are obtained. Besides pentacyclic systems (of four borazine rings) which have been isolated, a hexacyclic compound formed by five borazines was detected in a mass spectrum.

H202/H20 (98:2 by weight) was prepared by a modified method. With reference to stabilities, IR spectra and NMR spectra, the structures of these noncrystalline polyborates are discussed. All the compounds contain the active oxygen in the form of B-O-O-groups.

	Abstract	Simple alcohol derivatives are used to test approximative chirality functions experimen-tally. The approximations of the type 1 b yield a competent description of the optical rotatory power of methan-derivatives. Provided that certain restrictions of ligand inter-actions are taken into account, a set of ligand-specific parameters is obtained; however, no common set of parameters is suitable for both the alcohol and the amino-alcohol derivatives, which have been published before.

	Abstract	The ionization energies of some chromium and tungsten pentacarbonyl complexes of the type [M(CO)5] xL (L = N2H2, N2H4, NH3; x = 1 or 2 for N2H4 or a; = 1 for N2H2) are reported. The results are discussed in terms of the effects of tr-donor and 7r-acceptor bonds on XPS data. Satellite lines, which can be explained in terms of a shake-up process, give information about the nature of the metal-ligand bond. These shake-up processes are, to a large extent, specific to the atoms of the acceptor groups. The spectroscopic and chemical importance of multi-peak structures of XPS bands is emphasised.
