The structures consist of "supramolecular" networks of-M -Cl-M -and -M-diazine-M-chains. | | |

| From the binary systems M 2S 0 4/H 2S 0 4 (M = Ba. Sr), two new hydrogen sulfates, (Ba(HS0 4)2(H 2S0 4)3 and S r(H S 04)2(H 2S 0 4), have been synthesized and structurally char acterized. Ba(HS0 4)2(H2S0 4)3 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P 2 12 12 , with unit cell parameters a = 4.680(1), b = 11.267(2), c = 29.188(6)A, Z = 4. B a 0 9 trigonal prismatic polyhedra with Ba-O distances of 2.68 -3.02 A from nine different S 0 4 tetrahedra are connected via common bases and build "isolated" columns consisting of O-S-O bridged double chains along the .r-axis. H S 0 4 and H2S 0 4 tetrahedra are linked via hydrogen bonds to form columns. S r(H S 04)i(H TS04) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P i with unit cell parameters a = 5.971(1), b = 8.468(2), c = 10.226(2)A, a = 81.71(3), ß = 83.30(3), 7 = 70.69(3)°, Z = 2. Sr is coordinated by nine oxygen atoms from seven different S 0 4 tetrahedra with S r-0 distances of 2.47 -2.84 A. The S r0 9 polyhedra build layers consisting of O-S-O bridged chains. Three crystallographically different S 0 4 tetrahedra are linked via hydrogen bonds to form a kind of flattened cylinder along the .v-axis. | | |

It is stable against thermal C2H4 elimination up to 135°C. No nitrene complexes {Cp(CO)2Mn}"NBz (/? = 1, 2) were detected. The X-ray structure analysis of Cp(CO)2MnN(Bz)CH2CH2 shows the intact three-membered ring ligand and the pyramidal configuration of the nitrogen atom. | | |

| M-hexaessigsäure (H6ttha): K oordinationszahlen 10 für [La(H ttha)]2' und 9 für [D y(H ttha)]2-in ihren G uanidinium salzen Labilizing o f a Carboxyl G roup o f the C oordinated Triethylenetetram ine-N ,N ,N ',N ",N "',N "'-hexaacetic Acid (H6ttha): C oordination N um bers 10 for [La(H ttha)]2-and 9 for [D y(H ttha)]2-in their G uanidinium Salts The lanthanum(III) and dysprosium(III) complexes of triethylenetetramine-N, N, N', N", N'", N"'-hexaacetic acid (H6ttha) were prepared and isolated as guanidinium salts; [C(NH2)3]2[La(Httha)] • 3 H20 and [C(NH2)3]2[Dy(Httha)] • 5 H20 . The X-ray crystal structure of both complexes was determined: In the La(III) complex (space group P i) all donor atoms (N40 6) are coordinated. The coordination number 10 is realized in a bicapped square antiprism (SAPRS-10). The bond length La to O of the protonated carboxylic group is ca. 0.3 A longer than the other five"La-O distances. The Dy(III) complex (space group P i) exhibits coordination number 9 in a monocapped square antiprism (SAPRS-9). The protonated carboxylic group is not coordinated. | | |

| Chlorine Nitrate The reaction of C10N 02 with PC13 yields POCl3 and NO:+N O r . With AsC13 chlorine nitrate forms a compound of the analytical composition "AsCl2(N 0 3h ", in contrast to SbCl3, which does not react with C10N 02. The reaction of C10N 02 with AsCl4+AsF6_ was reported to yield A s(0 N 0 2)4+AsF6~. We found no reaction below 273 K. Reaction at 293 K yields N 0 2+AsF6~ as solid product. SbCl5 does react, but the reaction yields no reproduceable products. | | |
